Electric breast pumps are available for hire from Australian Breastfeeding Association. Breast pump hire is available through our retail stores in East Malvern, Melbourne and Coorparoo, Brisbane.

Our Melbourne store hire Medela Symphony, Medela Lactina and Ameda Elite pumps. Brisbane store hires Medela Symphony pumps and Ameda Elite pumps.

These or other brands of electric pumps may be available for hire from an ABA group. near you.

Pumps are available to mothers for short or long term hire to enable them to express their milk for their baby. Each mother needs to purchase her own new personal milk collection kit to use with the hired pump. The cost of these kits will vary depending upon the type of pump being hired.

** The hiring rate for pumps varies according to the type of pump hired. Medela Lactina and Ameda pumps are $20 per week for members, $40 per week non members. Symphony pumps are $30 per week for members or $60 per week non members.YES ABA members receive a discount on pump hire charges of 50%! A fully refundable deposit is also required at the time of hire.

Breast pumps can only be hired from a trained ABA breastfeeding counsellor. Counsellors will be able to help you with any questions about using the pump, expressing and storing your breastmilk and all other aspects of breastfeeding.
