Everyone welcome-mums, babies, toddlers & support people.
Meetings are informal, and encourage mothers to share their experiences and support each other. Please be aware that all meetings & counsellors are bound by a Code of Ethics, which can be found on the ABA website. The following two points are important to be aware of when attending our meetings:
1.8 No Australian Breastfeeding Association meeting, nor any other aspect of the Australian Breastfeeding Association is to be used for the sale or promotion of goods or services unless benefit to the Australian Breastfeeding Association is the primary consideration.
3.2 Discussion of particular doctors, hospitals, nurses or health centres is to be discouraged, either at meetings, or in conversations.
After the discussion we have morning tea, a great opportunity to meet other mums, gain support, or simply have a cuppa and a chat!
Tea and coffee is provided, but please bring a plate to share if able.
We have a toy box for the toddlers.
Our group has a library of parenting and breastfeeding books, that can be borrowed by members.
Volunteer trained breastfeeding Counsellors are available at meetings to discuss any concerns you may have-or to cuddle your baby while you have a cuppa!
