Breast Refusal - Bring along your tips

Event date:
Tuesday, July 2, 2019 - 11:30 to 13:30
Event Location:
Carroll Drive, Bicton

For the first Tuesday of July we will discuss the emotive topic of breast refusal. Breast refusal can happen at many developmental stages through a baby or toddler's feeding journey. It can be a highly stressful time for a breastfeeding parent and their support people, and doesn't have one simple solution. However many of us have gone through this at one time and another and we hope you can all bring a piece of your own parenting wisdom along to this meeting, or if you haven't experienced this please join us anyway for a discussion on this topic and see what you might be able to contribute or take away from the chat. We hope to see you there.

As always the kettle will be on, cakes, sandwiches and other goodies may be found on the table, arms to hold babies, eyes to watch toddlers and ears to listen will all be available. If you're having a good day, please consider bringing a plate of food to share. If you're not, please come along anyway and we'll put a plate and a mug in front of you.

Our group offers information and support in our roles as parents. Come along and meet new friends, chat with mothers who have 'been there' and connect with trained breastfeeding volunteers. Children of all ages are welcome to attend, toys and facilities available.

We meet every 1st and 3rd Tuesday at the Attadale Community Facility from 11.30am to 1.30pm. We hold one topic discussion and one chat and play per month. Please contact Kirsten if you would like a copy of the current meet up dates emailed to you.
