Weddings, parties and other special events are great fun, but can be a source of stress or worry for breastfeeding mums. It can be difficult to leave your new baby or they may not take milk from a bottle or you may not have easy access to trusted adults to care for your baby or children. With some planning, many parents enjoy a special night out while others care for their children. Come a long for a discussion on what we need to consider and hear some tips and tricks for the logistics of planning a day or night out.
Local group meetings are a place to be around other breastfeeding families and share the joys and challenges of parenthood and breastfeeding. We aim to provide an inclusive space where all experiences and feelings are valued and respected.
All mums, dads, children, partners, extended family, friends, support people welcome, you don’t need to be a member to come along, bring a snack or piece of fruit to share if you are able.
Although each gathering has a discussion topic, you can speak with a breastfeeding counsellor, volunteer or other families about anything you need to.
We look forward to seeing you there.
