Breastfeeding And The Festive Season

Event date:
Monday, December 2, 2019 - 10:00 to 12:00
Event Location:
Mudgeeraba Old Post Office, 57 Railway St, Mudgeeraba

Please note new venue!!!

Have you heard of 'accidental weaning' or 'holiday mastitis'? The Festive season can be a whirlwind of social engagements and this can add to the stress of having a newborn/infant/toddler. Come along to learn some tips to manage this busy time as well as the answer to one of our most asked questions on Helpline around now: can I drink alcohol while breastfeeding? (Hint - the answer is yes, with a bit of forward planning!)

ABA meet-ups are FREE to attend! We welcome all mothers, fathers, babies, older children, pregnant women, and other family members who would like to visit. You do not have to be breastfeeding to attend, and it is not necessary to RSVP to any of our activities. Visitors are welcome to attend two meetings prior to considering purchasing membership.

Please bring a plate of something to share if you are able (though it‘s okay to come empty-handed). Tea and coffee are available. There is always a qualified breastfeeding counsellor present at our get-togethers to chat with you about any concerns you may have. All conversations remain confidential.
