Our discussion topic this week is: Breastfeeding and sleep
Come along to our discussion on the ever popular topic of Breastfeeding and sleep. There will be some relevant information presented, and plenty of time to share your stories and hear some new tips from other mums.
We are taking steps to make sure our meetings are as safe as possible, in line with government Covid19 restrictions, including:
-Adults to wear masks indoors
-Bring your own food and drinks (attendees are able to use the kitchen to make their own hot drink if they prefer)
-Sign in with Safe WA
-and of course, stay home if you or your little one are at all unwell
We have been informed that our EVP venue now is also subject to proof of vaccination requirements. This means that all adult attendees will need to present appropriate proof that they are fully vaccinated in order to enter.
We appreciate your assistance in helping our volunteers. They will need to ask to see your proof before you can join us. You can find out more about what kinds of proof you can use here - https://www.wa.gov.au/government/covid-19-coronavirus/covid-19-coronavirus-what-proof-of-covid-19-vaccinations-can-i-use
Please note, also, that you may need to provide proof of your identity as well as your vaccination certificate (depending on what you use as proof).
We will not be keeping a record of your vaccination details, and neither will the venue.
Please note that this requirement is not an ABA policy, but the policy of the venue. ABA does not wish to discriminate or exclude anyone from joining us. If you are not able to show us your proof of vaccination, you can still join us for meetings at our Rostrata venue.
Another option is to join online meetings hosted by volunteers all around Australia - events in our calendar.
10am – 12pm Our catch-ups are informal and people arrive when they can – there's no such thing as late to ABA and you can leave whenever you wish!
The group discussion is confidential and usually starts around 10.20am, lasting for 45 mins to an hour, so you don't need to be there exactly on 10am to hear it. You also don't need to be part of the discussion at all if you don't want to.
‘Mother-to-mother’ support, come along and meet new friends over morning tea. Our current Covid 19 policy is to bring your own food and drinks. Unwashed hair welcome! Non-members welcome!
We welcome you whether you are pregnant, partially or fully breastfeeding, or bottle-feeding. Everyone at ABA is 100% non-judgemental and supportive of all parents however you wish to feed your baby.
Children of all ages welcome (safe indoor & outdoor play areas) and there are always other toddlers / children for them to play with. Partners, friends, grandparents welcome.
Volunteer counsellors are available at meetings to provide free and confidential one-on-one breastfeeding information and counselling. You can grab a quiet corner with a counsellor for private counselling.
