Breastfeeding and the Older Child

Event date:
Thursday, March 1, 2018 - 10:00 to 12:00
Event Location:
Relationships Australia 36-40 Gurwood St Wagga Wagga

Despite the social stigma that can exist, breastfeeding beyond babyhood is perfectly normal. As long as a mother and her child are happy, there is no upper limit to breastfeeding duration. The World Health Organization recommends exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months and then for breastfeeding to continue alongside complementary foods for 2 years or beyond.

Mums and bubs of all ages are welcome, along with older children, partners and grandparents.
If you can bring some morning tea to share, that would be appreciated. Otherwise, just turn up, even if you are running late! There will be someone to hold your baby while you finish a hot cuppa and plenty of cake to go around.
