Welcome to our group
*** Due to family circumstances, meetings in the Blacktown area may be sporadic. So please do always check the website calendar or our facebook page for updates about possible cancellations or changes to meetings.***
All members and guests are welcome to attend any of the meetings in other locations as well and those meetings appear on the website calendar too.
Join us to meet new friends, chat with mothers who have 'been there', be the mother who has 'been there' for someone else and connect with trained breastfeeding volunteers. Please check our calendar for details.
Restrictions and venue availability mean we cannot offer local Breastfeeding Education Classes. Our popular Breastfeeding Education Live sessions continue to run each week. We encourage you to book in if you are pregnant and wanting to learn more about breastfeeding before your baby arrives.
Breast pump hire continues to be available.
Welcome to Blacktown ABA
Our group offers information and support in our roles as parents. Come along and meet new friends, chat with mums with babies and children of different ages and at different stages, and connect with trained breastfeeding volunteers.
The Blacktown group meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, however we usually take a short break over the school holidays and/or have a combined park play and catch up with The Hills Group somewhere in the Hills/Blacktown area. Check the calendar for details.
Please check our calendar tab for specific meeting details and we hope to catch up with you at a meeting soon!

Whether you're fully breastfeeding, partially breastfeeding, expressing or bottle feeding, it’s great to chat to other mums and get those hints and tips that only other mums know!
With the current restrictions on in-person gatherings, many local groups across Australia are running virtual and online get-togethers. You can view our national calendar of events to find a full listing, and attend a group anywhere in Australia.

All our meetings are very informal and friendly, breastfeeding and early parenting queries on any topic are always welcome. It's a great place to make friends and build up a support network which feels so good to be a part of whether just starting out with breastfeeding or continuing along the parenting / mothering path with all the varying challenges and joys that come our way.
Everyone is welcome - mums, dads, babies, older children, carers, grandparents etc. You don't need to be a member to come along, though if you are enjoying the support our meetings offer after trying them out a couple of times we would love you to join up and help support the ABA to train other volunteers to keep services like local groups and the National Breastfeeding Helpline running (and also for insurance purposes). Mums-to-be are encouraged to come along before the big day, too.
