Welcome to our group
Our group offers information and support in our roles as parents. Come along and meet new friends, chat with mothers who have 'been there' and connect with trained breastfeeding volunteers. If you have a breastfeeding query, need to hire a breast pump, would like to attend a Breastfeeding Education Class, or need feed and change facilities at your next community festival - please get in touch!
With the current restrictions on in-person gatherings, many local groups across Australia are running virtual and online get-togethers. You can view our national calendar of events to find a full listing, and attend a group anywhere in Australia.
More about our group
*** PLEASE NOTE: ***
In the interest of our community’s health and safety ABA Hamilton has decided to indefinitely suspend our in-person Group Meetings while the COVID-19 outbreak is ongoing. This follows the advice of leading medical authorities.
This includes our Breastfeeding Education Classes. We will continue to offer Breast Pump Hire.
Should you require immediate assistance with regard to breastfeeding information and support, please contact the Breastfeeding Helpline on 1800 686 268 to speak with a trained Breastfeeding Counsellor. You may also be able to access Live Chat via our website at breastfeeding.asn.au, depending on hours of operation.
Of course, our qualified counsellors are also available to chat with you via phone call or text.
Please also check our Facebook group and regional Facebook page as we hope to maintain an online/virtual presence during this period, such as Zoom meetings online, and Facebook question and answer chats.
Please stay safe everyone. We look forward to catching up again as soon as we can.

Our group meets casually on the first Friday of each month at the Hamilton Institute of Rural Learning (HIRL), North Boundary Road, Hamilton from 10.30am-12.30pm. We welcome all parents, as well as their support people, and health professionals. A plate of morning tea to share is wonderful, if you can manage it.
We also offer member-exclusive Nature Play & Coffee Catch-Ups, also at HIRL, on the third Friday of every month. These sessions offer mums and their children a great chance to explore nature together and meet new and old friends alike.
