LiveChat does not operate on National public holidays

LiveChat is

  • a service to guide people to find evidence-based information about breastfeeding 

  • staffed by trained and qualified volunteers

  • provides general breastfeeding information and support

  • refers to breastfeeding counselling service if more specific support or information is required

  • for mothers and their support people

  • for residents of Australia only

What we don't do

  • provide individual counselling

  • provide medical advice or information on the use of drugs or medicines when breastfeeding

  • provide support via LiveChat to people outside of Australia

Your Privacy 

  • ABA will not disclose your personal details or sensitive information to a third party unless legally required

  • ABA will securely store transcripts of chats for a period of time before being destroyed

  • we may use de-identified information for training purposes, reporting or research

  • ABA members utilising ABA's LiveChat priority service (membership benefit), if you choose for the chat transcript to be emailed to you (to an email of your choosing), the chat will not be stored or recorded against your membership record or in any other identifying manner.
