10170NAT Course in Community Breastfeeding Mentoring

This is a nationally-recognised short course designed to teach mentoring skills and basic breastfeeding information to people who support breastfeeding in the community.

It suits those working with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) and Indigenous community groups.

All trainers and assessors involved in the delivery and assessment of this course are appropriately qualified – as per the Standards for Registered Training Organisations.

Delivery options

2 day workshop: Includes one day of learning and one day of assessment.

  • — All participants receive a certificate of attendance
  • — Those who successfully complete the assessment also receive a nationally-recognised statement of attainment.

1 day workshop: Includes one day learning with no assessment.

  • — All participants receive a certificate of attendance
  • — On prior request – allocation of CERP or MidPLUS recognition points.

Costs

  • 2 day workshop: $380 per participant. Min workshop cost $3,800. Maximum 16 participants. Maximum workshop cost $5,000.
  • 1 day workshop: $230 per participant. Min workshop cost $2,300. Maximum 16 participants. Maximum workshop cost $3,000.

 

Participant costs include:

  • 12 months membership of the Association
  • course enrolment and certificates of attendance
  • course materials and resources
  • Assessment resources and certification where applicable
  • On prior request - Arrangement of continuing education recognition points: CERP or MidPLUS.

Extras

Workshop costs do not include:

  • travel and accommodation of trainers
  • venue costs
  • catering
  • promotion of the workshop byABA

Please note:

  • — extras will incur additional costs; however you may arrange an alternate venue or catering at your local level
  • — to reduce or eliminate travel or accommodation costs, we will try to use local training personnel
