The Australian Breastfeeding Association and the WHO Code

The Australian Breastfeeding Association (ABA) has been dedicated to supporting health professionals for almost 20 years. Via accessible continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities, seminars, conferences, peer-reviewed research journals and more, we are proud to be a trusted name for health practitioners seeking best practice.

The Australian Breastfeeding Association is committed to upholding the World Health Organization (WHO) International Code of Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes (1981) and subsequent World Health Assembly (WHA) resolutions. ABA’s health professional education is free from commercial influence and conflicts of interest as defined by the WHO Code and WHA resolutions.

All seminar presenters have declared they have no direct and indirect relationships and/or interests with entities (including institutions and foundations) that are involved in the manufacture, distribution, and/or marketing of infant formula, toddler milks, commercial complementary foods, bottles or teats, or any other related products. Presenters are required to disclose all activities which may have been applicable in the last 4 years.
