We understand that social stigmas can surround breastfeeding beyond the first 12 months. As long as a mother and child are happy breastfeeding, there is not 'limit' for how long breastfeeding occurs.
The World Health Organisation recommends exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months and then for breastfeeding to continue with family foods for 2 years, or beyond.
Come along and discuss all things breastfeeding beyond 12 months.
Tea, coffee and light refreshments provided.
We will meet at Churches of Christ, Gladstone at 19 Dalrymple Drive.
Anyone is welcome at ABA catch ups. You do not have to be a member. We would love to see you.
