When we think of the festive season as parents, we think of holidays, family get-togethers, travelling, hot weather, parties, the beach. And when we have a baby, there’s a bit of extra planning involved with all these. We will share some information and ideas about managing breastfeeding - in hot weather, when travelling, when visiting people, when celebrating, what to do about alcohol and coping with unwanted advice! Since we live in a high bushfire risk area we'll also chat a bit about bushfire plans and preparing for emergencies with babies.
Come and meet some other local mums and babies. Everyone is welcome, whether you are breastfeeding, bottle-feeding or a bit of both.
There will be a qualified breastfeeding counsellor there to answer any breastfeeding questions you have, or just come along to meet other mums and have a chat while your children play.
Older children are welcome to come along too - there is a playground next to the meeting room, plenty of toys and colouring to keep them busy.
BYO reusable cup and snacks for your children (no nuts please). We'll provide hot drinks and morning tea.
Feel free to come and go as you need. We'll be there by 10am but if you're not able to get there until a little later, or leave earlier, that's fine!
Please fill in the group’s attendance record upon arrival and check in, and please do not attend if you or the children with you are unwell.
