It is an exciting time welcoming a new baby into the family, but at the same time you may be wondering how you will manage more than one child. After all, one baby takes up SO much of your time! You may be asking yourself questions like how will your older child or toddler react to their new brother or sister? How will you be able to fit in time for both? Will you need to wean your older child or is it possible to breastfeed both? In this session, we will answer all these questions and more! If you already have more than one child, we would love to hear about your experiences and hot tips!
Our sessions involve getting together to participate in a group chat on a particular topic. After a general welcome and introduction we will have around 15-20 minutes of facilitated discussion, followed by informal social time and individual support with a breastfeeding counsellor.
Participants are encouraged to share experiences, ask questions, and provide input.
We meet at Shaftesbury Street Park, Tarragindi (on the Laura Street side, near the playground). A drink of choice is included from the nearby cafe. BYO picnic blanket or chair.
This is a very relaxed catch up – it’s fine if you come late/leave early – we know what it’s like to be operating on baby time! Partners, expectant parents, friends, and children of any age are welcome.
If you have breastfeeding questions that you would like support with, a trained breastfeeding counsellor will be there to help you.
For any questions on the event, contact tarragindi@breastfeeding.asn.au.
We look forward to seeing you there!
