You and your baby have made it to a year of breastfeeding. Congratulations! It can be hard to imagine how feeding an older baby or toddler could work for your family - especially as many mothers find that family and friends feel uncomfortable with the idea of breastfeeding beyond 12 months. However, breastfeeding continues to provide benefits to both the mother and her child well into early childhood. If you aren't ready to wean you don't have to! Bring all your questions and we will share some information and ideas about how to manage breastfeeding your older baby and beyond.

Come and meet some other local mums and babies. Everyone is welcome, whether you are breastfeeding, bottle-feeding or a bit of both. There will be a qualified breastfeeding counsellor there to answer any breastfeeding questions you have, or just come along to meet other mums and have a chat while your children play.

Older children are welcome to come along too - there is a playground next to the meeting room and we'll have some colouring and toys if the weather isn't great.

BYO reusable cup and snacks for your children (no nuts please). We'll provide hot drinks and morning tea.

Feel free to come and go as you need. We'll be there by 9.30am but if you're not able to get there until a little later, or leave earlier, that's fine!
