We are please to be able to offer a first aid session all about CPR awareness and home first aid. First aid is a vital activity after an accident occurs, and learning these techniques can help you cope with an emergency, whether a child has fallen into the water, fallen from a tree, or cut themselves. Being able to keep a person breathing, or to minimise the consequences of an injury until the ambulance arrives can make all the difference and save someone's life.
We hope we never need to use our CPR and first aid skills, however being prepared and knowing how to handle an emergency is vital.
What's involved? We will have a qualified trainer run through the basics.
Wear comfortable clothes so you can get on the floor to practice.
A plate to share for supper is appreciated.
Parents and children of all ages are welcome, and we welcome all of our past volunteers, counsellors and their families too.
We'd appreciate it if you can RSVP by 18th June to ensure we have enough resources - but still come if you forget!
