Expressing breastmilk isn't something you have to do, but many mums find that they do end up expressing for one reason or another. It can be an important strategy for managing several breastfeeding challenges such as low supply, blocked ducts and breast refusal. It can also allow mothers to provide valuable breastmilk when they are separated from their child by work, study or other commitments. Join us on Wednesday for some information and tips which will hopefully help you work out the most effective way to express and make sure your milk is stored safely.
Come and meet some other local mums and babies. Everyone is welcome, whether you are breastfeeding, bottle-feeding or a bit of both. There will be a qualified breastfeeding counsellor there to answer any breastfeeding questions you have, or just come along to meet other mums and have a chat while your children play.
Older children are welcome to come along too - there is a playground next to the meeting room and we'll have some colouring and toys if the weather isn't great.
BYO reusable cup and snacks for your children (no nuts please). We'll provide hot drinks and morning tea.
Feel free to come and go as you need. We'll be there by 9.30am but if you're not able to get there until a little later, or leave earlier, that's fine!
Please fill in the group’s attendance record upon arrival and check in, and please do not attend if you or the children with you are unwell.
