Breastfeeding in emergencies
How would you keep your baby fed and comforted during a bushfire, flood or power outage?
Join us for a practical chat about preparing for emergencies with a baby. Drawing on ABA’s resources, we’ll explore:
💜 How breastfeeding provides food, hydration and comfort during emergencies.
💜 What to include in your baby’s evacuation kit.
💜 How stress and disruption can affect breastfeeding.
💜 Options when expressing milk and access to power or clean water is limited.
A little preparation can help you feel more confident about caring for your baby when the unexpected happens.
As always, trained ABA Breastfeeding Counsellors will be available to provide evidence-based information and support on breastfeeding and parenting topics, and there will be plenty of opportunity to connect with other local families.
Everyone is welcome, regardless of your children's age or how you feed your baby. No ABA membership is required to attend. We hope to see you there!
