Do you have an eagle eye for detail, and a passion for grammar and language conventions? We are seeking members for ABA's Proofreading and Approvals Working Group (PRAWG).
PRAWG supports ABA's capacity to provide high quality printed and electronic publications through proofreading and ensuring alignment with our Style Guide.
About the role
As part of PRAWG, you will be involved with the proofing of ABA's printed and digital publications, such as:
- Printed and digital publications such as Essence, Breastfeeding Review, Talkabout, booklets
- Website information articles
- eNewsletters
- Branch, Region and Group items
- Random occasional large tasks such as: revisions of Breastfeeding Management in Australia, Breastfeeding: a practical guide; ABA Annual Report
- BFWA items
- Breastfeeding Helpline; app content
- Podcasts
The hours required by the role are flexible.
Key skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Excellent English language and grammar skills
- Proficient using Microsoft Word
- Ability to edit written information for different audiences
- Formatting and editing skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks, manage workload and meet deadlines
Location
This is a remote volunteer role that can be done from anywhere in Australia.
