Workshop Date Saturday 17th January 2026
Workshop Time: 11am-2pm
Location: Waurn Ponds Library
Overview
You’ll be welcoming your baby soon, you know you want to breastfeed and you want to be prepared.
Breastfeeding is a learned skill, for mums and babies alike. Get the practical skills to help your baby establish breastfeeding, as well as solutions for common challenges.
Our face-to-face workshops aim to expand upon the knowledge gained at hospital antenatal classes, to give up-to-date information and insights into breastfeeding a baby and parenting in the early days
Many mums find it ideal to book a workshop/ class 6 to 7 months into pregnancy. This allows for breastfeeding supportive strategies to be added to birth plans, time to connect with local support groups, and allows for potential early arrivals!
Face-to-face workshops are longer than our online Breastfeeding Preparation Sessions and offer small-group interaction and, in many cases, a demonstration of breastfeeding by a local mum with a young baby.
Past participants regularly comment that our classes were THE most important bit of pre-birth preparation they did – so schedule an ABA workshop or class now.
You’ll leave feeling empowered and prepared for your journey ahead.
You will learn:
- How breastfeeding works
- How to tell when your baby wants a feed (hunger cues)
- How to hold your baby for a comfortable feed (positioning and attachment)
- How to tell if your baby is getting enough milk
- Managing the early weeks and possible breastfeeding challenges
- Where to get help and support when you need it most
Price
- $35 for ABA Virtual Village members
Classes are only for ABA Virtual Village members.
