This week's topic is Breast refusal and biting.

There are many reasons why a baby may refuse to feed. The cause can depend on your baby's stage of development or health.

Whatever the reason, having a baby who doesn't want to feed and screams and turns away from your breast is very upsetting. However, be reassured, there are some things you can do.

People may tell you that once your baby gets teeth and bites, you will probably have to stop breastfeeding. However, it's not physically possible for a baby to bite when they are breastfeeding correctly because their tongue covers their bottom gum and teeth.

Come along and share your experiences or hear from other mums who have been there before.

WHO CAN COME? Everyone is welcome - Members, friends & family - as well as guests. Not yet a member? That's ok we'd love you to come along to your first meeting or two as our guest. Enjoy the support of other parents, have a chat, and bring your toddlers & preschoolers too - we meet in a lovely playgroup facility with an enclosed play area.

Feel free to ask a volunteer about anything breastfeeding-related and enjoy a chat with other mums while we watch the older kids play.

The entrance to the car park is between the roundabout and the school pedestrian crossing.
