Join us for a discussion about Unsettled Babies.
Most babies cry, some cry more than others, and a lot of parents worry about what their baby’s cries mean or what the cause of the crying is. Certainly, it can be difficult to cope if your baby cries a lot or long periods of time, especially if nothing you do seems to help. We know that comforting your baby by cuddling or breastfeeding them won’t start bad habits or spoil them.
During our discussion, we'll look at some of the things that might upset and unsettle a baby, share our ideas about how to calm them and find some ways to help us cope with this phase.
These Connect & Share sessions involve getting together to participate in a facilitated group chat on a particular topic. After a general welcome and introduction we will have around 15-20 minutes of formal discussion on the chosen topic, followed by informal social time and individual support with a breastfeeding counsellor. For attendees wanting to find out more on the topic, the facilitator will direct them to supporting ABA resources.
Participants are encouraged to share their experiences, ask questions, and provide input.
This is a very relaxed meet up – it’s fine if you come late/leave early – we know what it’s like to be operating on baby time! Partners, expectant parents, friends, and children are always welcome. We have a great, safe space with plenty of toys for babies and children of all ages.
