Welcome to our group

Welcome to the Blue Mountains Group. We would love for you to join us at a meeting:

We are holding breastfeeding discussion meetings on Tuesdays (generally the 4th Tuesday of the month) in Springwood at the downstairs hall of 4 Lewin St, Springwood.

Or join us for a casual playgroup meet on 2nd Tuesday of each month at Blaxland Community Centre on St Johns Rd.

With the current restrictions on in-person gatherings, many local groups across Australia are running virtual and online get-togethers. You can view our national calendar of events to find a full listing, and attend a group anywhere in Australia.

More about our group

Our group offers information and support in our roles as parents. Come along and meet new friends, chat with mothers who have 'been there' and connect with trained breastfeeding volunteers.

We usually have two meetings each month:

  • 2nd Tuesday:   Blaxland Playdate
  • 4th Tuesday:   Springwood Breastfeeding Discussion Meeting

We also hold some extra meetings for fun and for training purposes and informal park catch ups from time to time - check out our calendar or bulletin for more details.

Join us at a meeting for friendly sharing of parenting wisdom and yummy morning tea. If you are having a good day please bring a plate to share, we provide tea (including herbal) and coffee, and for a gold coin donation you can have a "real" coffee or hot chocolate from our machine (with money raised going to a great cause - our group!). No pressure and you are welcome with or without a plate!

A breastfeeding counsellor is usually available at our discussion meetings if you need to talk though any breastfeeding questions and our Playdate is facilitated by a breastfeeding educator who will be happy to answer your breastfeeding questions. Mums, dads, children and support people are all welcome at our meetings.

We have a mailing list for people who would like to keep up to date with our group happenings:

We hope to see you at a meeting soon!
