Welcome to our group

Be connected and supported – You don’t have to do it alone! Meet new friends and have your questions answered at local get-togethers run by trained volunteer breastfeeding counsellors or educators. Whether you are fully breastfeeding, partially breastfeeding, expressing or bottle-feeding, it's great to chat to other mums and get those hints and tips that only other mums know!

Feel free to join us at a meeting, see the Calendar Tab above, or on any of our social media locations and make our group your group.
If you have any questions please email at abawaverley@breastfeeding.asn.au

With the current restrictions on in-person gatherings, many local groups across Australia are running virtual and online get-togethers. You can view our national calendar of events to find a full listing, and attend a group anywhere in Australia.

More about our group

We have a diverse range of participants from first time mums and bubs. to mums with bubs and toddlers. and also mums who are no longer breastfeeding. All are welcome to any meeting and you don’t need to have a new baby, or be able to come regularly.

Our get-togethers are a place where a wide range of opinions can be expressed and heard in a non-judgemental, non-competitive setting. Your participation and shared experiences will be valued. On the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays we start with a short informal discussion, leaving plenty of time for morning tea and chat. Don’t worry if you’re running late – we all understand it can be difficult to get out the door on time – if you miss part of the discussion you can catch up over a coffee afterwards.
