10243NAT Diploma of Breastfeeding Management and Workshops from the Diploma Course

 

Enrolments for the 10243NAT Diploma of Breastfeeding Management will close on 7/8/20. 

 

 The first workshop was held on 18th July 2020.

 To enrol in the course intake commencing in July 2020, please contact Julie Taylor (julie.taylor@breastfeeding.asn.au) or Emma Arrow (emma.arrow@breastfeeding.asn.au) to arrange a time for a Pre-Course Discussion. Health professionals may also attend the workshops as stand-alone professional development.The workshops will initially be delivered via an online platform only. Later workshops may have an option to attend face-to-face in Melbourne.

10243NAT Diploma of Breastfeeding Management  

Does your professional practice include care for families?

Do you want to upgrade your knowledge and skills to enable you to support breastfeeding mothers and babies more effectively?

The Australian Breastfeeding Association has a long tradition of providing high-quality, evidence-based breastfeeding education for you as a health professional.

Designed with your needs as a health professionals in mind, this course will help you to develop the skills and knowledge to help improve health outcomes for families.

The 10243NAT Diploma of Breastfeeding Management offers a unique opportunity for participants to build their skills and knowledge in the following areas:

  • the anatomy and physiology of human lactation
  • management of common breastfeeding problems
  • providing counselling to support breastfeeding
  • infant and maternal nutrition during lactation
  • protecting and supporting breastfeeding
  • evaluation of human lactation research 

We offer a range of flexible study options to support you to meet all of the requirements to successfully complete this course. We do offer distance education options (including online access to some workshops), however, some of the workshops will need to be attended in person.
