Operations and Administration Manager

As Operations and Administration Manager, you’ll play a central role in keeping ABA’s National Support Office running effectively and confidently. This role brings together people, processes, and systems; offering variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to make a real contribution to how the organisation operates day‑to‑day and into the future.

What you'll bring

  • Proven experience in operations, office coordination or senior administration roles, supporting smooth and efficient organisational functions
  • Strong people and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across staff, volunteers and senior leaders
  • Excellent organisational, planning and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • A practical, solutions‑focused approach, with experience improving administrative processes, systems or ways of working
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a collaborative, values‑driven team environment
  • High‑level written and verbal communication skills, with sound judgement and discretion
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 and confidence using systems, records and databases

You’ll be part of a passionate, supportive team, playing a vital role in keeping ABA’s operations running smoothly so staff and volunteers can make a real difference for breastfeeding families across Australia.


This part-time role (29 hours per week) is based in ABA's National Office in Melbourne and has been classified as SCHADS Level 4. The role offers flexibility to work hours across 4 or 5 days, with Fridays as a core working day. As an employee of a charity holding HPC status, you can salary package up to $18,550 each Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) year.
