Are you a skilled communicator with a sharp eye for detail and an interest in staying connected to the work of the Association? We are seeking a Volunteer Editor to join the Talkabout team.
Talkabout is a key communication channel shared with all volunteers and paid staff. As Editor, you will oversee content preparation and publication, working with a supportive team of writers, sub editors, proofreaders and national training team staff.
About the role
You will:
• Ensure Talkabout content meets ABA publication standards
• Confirm articles are relevant, engaging and aligned with our professional development goals
• Complete final proofreading
• Organise content order and visuals
• Check links and prepare content for distribution
This role requires an average commitment of 10–12 hours per month.
Key skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organisation and time management
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• High-level proofreading and/or writing skills
• Publishing or editing experience (desirable)
Location
This is a remote volunteer role that can be done from anywhere in Australia.
