Welcome to our group
Our group offers information and support in our roles as parents. Come along and meet new friends, chat with mothers who have 'been there' and connect with trained breastfeeding volunteers.
With the current restrictions on in-person gatherings, many local groups across Australia are running virtual and online get-togethers. You can view our national calendar of events to find a full listing, and attend a group anywhere in Australia.
More about our group
**PLEASE NOTE: Face-to-face meetings are currently suspended due to Covid-19 restrictions. Our group is instead running our discussion meetings (3rd Friday of each month) via ZOOM sessions. For more details on these online meetings please see our Facebook pages or send us an email via our group email address**
We meet at Bridgewater Family & Children's Centre (45 Bridgewater Blvd, Berwick) every Tuesday and on the 3rd Friday of every month between 10:30am- 12:30pm. We also frequently hold social get togethers in a park or a members house. If you are having a good day, please bring a plate to share. If not then just bring yourself and your child/children. Babies, toddlers and school-aged children are all welcome.
We are an inclusive group that welcomes all stages and styles of parenting and feeding and we promote open and educative discussions. All ABA material and information on breastfeeding is based on the most up to date research.
If you'd like to talk about volunteering with our group, whether it be finding out more about a group helper role or training to become a qualified breastfeeding counsellor or community educator, we'd love to hear from you.
We have a group library of books and DVD's available for borrowing on breastfeeding and general parenting. A digital copy can be found in our group files section of this page.
We also hire Hospital grade Breastpumps with discounted rates for members. For breastpump hire please contact our Group Leader Rene Sandeman.
