Lake Macquarie, NSW
Welcome to our group
Our group offers information and support in our roles as parents. Come along and meet new friends, chat with mothers who have 'been there' and connect with trained breastfeeding volunteers.
Where we are
Lake Macquarie ABA meet in various locations and cover the local areas to the north including Cameron Park, east to Cardiff Heights, Garden Suburb and over to Whitebridge Charlestown and Dudley and Redhead. We cover both the eastern and western sides of Lake Macquarie from Swansea , Belmont Gateshead and Valentine via Warners Bay and Toronto to Morisset.
More about our group
Our group provides opportunities to get out of the house and spend some time with other likeminded mums. This gives mums a chance to connect, support, chat and form friendships, friendships that often go beyond our local ABA meet spaces.
Our local group offers several opportunities a month to catch up. Please come along whenever it is motherly possible. If you are late to a meeting, we know it's all part of being a mum and it's ok.
Our meetings are very casual and relaxed and allow mums the opportunity to share their experiences, suggestions, ideas and what’s worked for them.
Our Breastfeeding Counsellors, Breastfeeding Educators, members and friends come along to our meetings to share information and support. Some mums encounter breastfeeding hurdles and find ABA meetings can be helpful for their experiences. This helps mums know there are other mums in the same situation, whether it’s a tired baby or tired mum, baby has had a marathon feed, poonami situations, or breastfeeding as babies gets older.
Everyone is welcome to come along regardless of how you feed your baby. We welcome women who are pregnant, have a new baby and toddlers.
