Our group offers information and support in our roles as parents. Join us to meet new friends, chat with mothers who have 'been there' and connect with trained breastfeeding volunteers.
With the current restrictions on in-person gatherings, many local groups across Australia are running virtual and online get-togethers. You can view our national calendar of events to find a full listing, and attend a group anywhere in Australia.

More about our group
Welcome to the Australian Breastfeeding Association, Lower Limestone Coast. Our Group covers Millicent, Penola, Mount Gambier and everywhere in between. We welcome everyone to our local group, especially your children. We also welcome other support people, including grandparents. We love to see new faces as well.
What does the local group of the Australian Breastfeeding Association do/offer?
One or two meetings per month including social get togethers.
Please note that many ABA groups nationwise are currently meeting online due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Breast Pump Hire
Annual Shopping Spree (held in November & our main fundrasier for the year)
Group Library (Children's books, reference books, Parenting books, educational DVD's)
Breastfeeding Educational Classes (run as a as need basis). Please contact us if you are seeking antenatal breastfeeding education
Breastfeeding Counsellors who are fully trained and attend regular ABA SA/NT Conferences, National Conferences, Regional Training Days to keep their breastfeeding knowledge/skills up to date (who attend most of our meetings and other ABA functions and also are an active part of the Australian Breastfeeding Association Breastfeeding Helpline or e-counselling services, you are very welcome to ring them at their home for breastfeeding support and suggestions).
Regular visits to the local hospitals Maternity Wards to visit new Mum's and introduce them to the ABA and our local group.
Provide an ABA Facebook Group for all members on the public to participate in
And everything else that we need to do to keep our local ABA Group prospering and growing throughout the years and beyond.
